MANDATE OF THE UNIT
The CDCU is charged with ensuring that training meets the needs of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. Having developed the learning programmes, the Curriculum Development and Coordination Unit has responsibility for monitoring to ensure that training is delivered according to the Force’s Quality Assurance Guidelines for training provision. The Jamaica Constabulary Staff College (JCSC) was established in 1984 with a mandate to position itself as the region’s premiere training institution in the Caribbean for the security sector.
The Caribbean Regional Drug Law Enforcement Training Centre serves the drug control needs, of different drug control agencies in the eighteen (18) English speaking Caribbean countries and ultimately, other Caribbean countries.
